On a cold and rainy night, there's nothing like a warm bowl of hearty beef stew in casserole with winter squash, cooked the Marsala wine and fresh herbs. With crusty bread to serve and you have a meal.

My kids and I love the beef stew, but my husband does not, so I do not do as often as I would like. But I have my hands on the new cookbook Giada good food resist and I can not, a slow cooker recipe, especially with winter squash.
