Making gingerbread Christmas tree ornaments - so much fun to do with kids!
This weekend we bought our Christmas tree and now I think Madison is a little older (she is 5), it would be fun to spend Sunday homemade ornaments. We blasted Christmas music in the background, had fun and the whole house smelled of gingerbread.
This is a fun project to do with your family, all you need cutters (I chose Star, Madison still used), Cable and the tip of the piping bag, to cut holes in the dough. My eldest daughter Karina wanted to help, so it was a family affair, to get with a lot of laughs and a great way everyone on their iPads and computers. My girlfriend is a Girl Scout leader and plans to do this with their daughters.
I have my basic recipe for gingerbread, which can be found, which is about 60 stars. The height varies depending on the size of the cookie cutters.
Madison hugged me so hard when everything we did and said it was the best. Day. Already! Sunday spent good memories that will last forever. These are the basic steps, a lot of fun!
